Clutch Pedal Assembly: Adjustments

Measure clutch pedal height (A) and clutch pedal freeplay (B), Fig. 1.

Clutch pedal height should be 7.68-7.87 inches.

Clutch pedal clevis pin play should be .04-.12 inches.

If clutch pedal height and freeplay are not within specifications, adjust as follows:

a. On models less cruise control, turn adjusting bolt to adjust pedal to correct height.
b. On models with cruise control, disconnect clutch switch, then turn clutch switch to adjust pedal to correct height.
c. On all models, turn clutch master cylinder pushrod to adjust clutch pedal clevis pin play, Fig. 2.
d. After completing adjustments, measure clutch pedal freeplay and clutch pedal floor clearance, Fig. 3. freeplay should be .24-.51 inch and

floor clearance should be 1.77 inches or more.

If clutch pedal freeplay and floor clearance is not within specifications, result is either air in hydraulic system or a faulty clutch master cylinder,
clutch or interlock switch.
