Expo LRV AWD L4-1834cc 1.8L SOHC 16 Valve (1992)
On vehicles produced after 8/27/91 (Expo LRV) and 8/29/91 (Expo), the shape of the door sash weatherstripping has been changed. The redesigned
weatherstripping is less prone to deformation.
For vehicles produced before the modification dates, perform the following procedure to help eliminate the wind noise.
1.
With the front doors closed, measure the gap between the door sash and the vehicle frame. If the gap is 3.5 mm to 5 mm, it is normal. No
adjustment should be made. If the gap is larger than 5 mm, proceed to Step 2.
2.
Open the window completely. With a rubber mallet, carefully strike the door sash in several places until the gap between the sash and frame is 3.5
to 5 mm. Repeat on the opposite door, if necessary.
This procedure may also help lessen wind noise heard from the B-pillar area.
