Crankshaft: Service and Repair

Refer to Fig. 60, when removing crankshaft and main bearings.
1. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Measure width of crankshaft oil clearance. Clearance should be 0.0008-0.0020 inch and should not exceed 0.004 inch.
b. Inspect cylinder block for scratches, rust or corrosion and replace as necessary.
