Closed Throttle Position Switch: Description and Operation
Idle Speed Servo Assembly
The Idle Position Switch, is a contact switch that senses accelerator operation. The switch is built into the Idle Speed Control (ISC) servo and is not
replaceable separately. When the throttle valve is in the idle position, the ISC lever pushes the switch on.
Idle Switch Circuit
The Idle Position Switch position indicates whether the accelerator is either depressed or released and is monitored by the ECU, enabling it to control the
idle speed control servo.
