Drain power steering fluid into a suitable container.

2.

Replace power steering pump in numbered sequence shown in Figs. 4 and 5, noting the following:
a. Turn pulley to align pulley hole with bolt position to remove mounting bolts.
b. On 1989-90 Sigma models, when installing pressure hose, connect hose so that slit part contacts oil pump guide bracket.
c. On Galant models, connect so that hose covers 1 inch of pump tube.
