PURPOSE
This service campaign bulletin contains information and instructions concerning the inspection and installation of rear ABS sensor 0-rings
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Symptom/Condition
ABS sensors without 0-rings were installed on some vehicles.
Remedy
0-rings must be installed on the ABS sensors for improved durability.
Customer Notification
A letter will be sent to all registered owners asking them to return their vehicle to their Mitsubishi Motors dealer for inspection and repair.
Dealer Action Summary
For all affected vehicles, both unsold in your dealership inventory and sold customer vehicles, remove the rear ABS sensors to determine if the 0-ring is
installed. If there is no 0-ring, clean the area where the sensor is installed, then reinstall the sensor with a new 0-ring.
Contact any purchaser of recently sold vehicles and have them bring their vehicle in for repair. Recent sales may not have been registered in time for the
customer notification letter.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
