Engine Block Heater: Testing and Inspection

CYLINDER BLOCK HEATER UNIT CHECK 

1. Remove the front number 1 exhaust pipe. 
2. Remove the front number 2 exhaust pipe. 
3. Remove the intake manifold stay. 

4. Disconnect cylinder block heater unit connector, and measure the resistance at cylinder block heater unit.

Standard value: 28 - 40 ohms 

5. If not within the standard value, replace the cylinder block heater unit.
