4. Verify all clip attachment points are disengaged and remove the I/P garnish from the vehicle.

REPAIR

Removal of the long section of the "D" Shaped Rubber Seal

1. Starting on the LH side of the I/P garnish lift approximately one inch (1" 25mm) of the "D" shaped seal off of the I/P garnish as shown below

(CAREFULLY use a razor knife if necessary).

2. Grasp the loose tape and loose "D" shaped rubber seal and pull both together at the same rate using the method shown until the "D" shaped rubber

seal and tape are completely removed from the I/P garnish.

If done in this manner there is little or no adhesive residue left behind.

Caution!

Care should be taken to avoid damage the garnish or other parts.

3. Slowly and gently peel the tape from the "D" shaped rubber seal until the tape is completely removed.

4. Clean any remaining adhesive on the I/P garnish and D shaped seal with a general purpose adhesive remover.

!!IMPORTANT!!

Adhesive remover should be tested on the rear side of the garnish and not used if it damages the material.
