Adhesive remover should be applied to a rag and then wiped on ONLY the affected areas of the garnish. Do not spray or wipe solvent on the
visible surfaces of the garnish.

5. Insure all tape and adhesive residue are cleaned from the "D" shaped seal.

6. Using a small brush apply 4693H Plastic adhesive (or equivalent) to the "D" shaped rubber seal area in place of the tape that was removed.

Follow adhesive application instructions on the container.

NOTE:
Too much adhesive will result in an unsatisfactory appearance.

7. Apply adhesive to the garnish in the area indicated in red in the photo. Do not apply adhesive to the top half of the seal area.

8. Align the Carefully re-attach the "D" shaped seal to the garnish. Allow the adhesive to cure following instructions listed on the adhesive container.

9. Repeat the procedure for the short "D" shaped rubber seal.

INSTALLATION

1. Verify the clips are positioned on the I/P garnish as shown. Clips are located at the LH side of the garnish and additional clips are located at the RH

side. Vehicles before approximately mid-March 2007 will have 6 clips and vehicles produced after this date will have 4 clips.
