Occupant Classification Sensor

OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR

INSPECTION

WARNING:  If a dent, crack, deformation or rust is detected, replace with a new seat slide adjuster.

NOTE:  For checking of the occupant classification sensor other than described below, refer to SRS diagnosis.  See: Powertrain Management/Computers
and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions/Supplemental Restraint System (SRS)

1. Check the occupant classification sensor for dent, cracks or deformation.
2. Check the connector for damage, and terminals for deformation.
3. Check that there is no bending or corrosion in the seat slide adjuster.
4. Carry out the accuracy check of occupant classification sensor (Refer to Air Bag Systems/Seat Occupant Sensor/Testing and

Inspection/Procedures/Accuracy Check of Occupant Classification Sensor).
