Apply a suitable sealant at bearing cap ends as shown in Fig. 13.

Install rocker arm shaft assembly, ensuring that arrow on bearing cap and arrow mark on cylinder head are pointing in the same direction, Fig. 10.

Torque bearing caps as follows:
a. Numbers 3, 2, 1, then 4 to 85 in. lbs.
b. In the same sequence mentioned above, torque bearing cap bolts to 180 in. lbs.
13.
Install distributor housing and torque bolts to 130 in. lbs.
14.
Lubricate camshaft oil seals lip with engine oil, then using camshaft oil seal installer tool MD998713, install camshaft oil seals.
15.
Using tool MB998306, install end seals.
