DESCRIPTION
On EPS control units produced after mid-December, 1990, the fail-safe function does not activate until the engine has been run at 2300 RPM for 55
seconds. Earlier control units activated after 15 seconds.
The new EPS control units can be recognized from previous units by a slight change on the label (Refer to Figure 1).
The new EPS control units will function on all 1986-87 and 1989-91 Galant vehicles. Control units originally supplied with these earlier vehicles cannot
be used on vehicles produced after mid-December, 1990.
