Insert a screw driver between the latch cover and the latch body. Gently twist the screw driver to release the cover from the latch body.

NOTE:

IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO REMOVE THE LATCH ASSEMBLY FROM THE VEHICLE.

Remove the cover from the vehicle and discard it. Reattach the latch release rod and secure the rod with the white clip.

Reassembly

Install the new longer length (35 mm) door window sash. See the Parts Information section of this bulletin for part numbers.

Install the door window sash and secure it with the 3 attaching screws using the following steps.
