DO NOT DISCONNECT THE MEDIC-II LAPTOP. DO NOT USE VCI STANDALONE REPROGRAMMING.
The following equipment is required for PCM reprogramming on CAN-Flash vehicles:

Reprogramming Database on DVD-ROM (Reflash Update CD 7/06 or later for this concern)

VCI (Vehicle Communication Interface) - MB991824
^
MUT-III main harness A (blue) - MB991910
^
USB 2.0 cable - MB991827
^
"Engine Compartment/Control Module" labels - p/n MSSF-024G-00
Connect this equipment in the same manner as for normal vehicle diagnosis. When reprogramming a CAN-Flash vehicle, the VCI and MUT-III
laptop must be connected. DO NOT use VCI Standalone on CAN-Flash vehicles.
a.
In the MUT-III System Select menu, click on the car symbol at the bottom of the screen as shown.
Select VIN. Then type in the VIN.

Connect the VCI to the vehicle. DO NOT DISCONNECT THE LAPTOP.
c.
Select "Special Function."
