Throttle Position Sensor: Description and Operation

-

A compact, light-weight throttle position sensor with excellent vibration resistance has been used.

-

Due to the implementation of control logic using throttle position sensor signals, the closed throttle position switch has been removed.

The engine control module (ECM) <M/T> and powertrain control module (PCM) <A/T> use throttle position sensor signals to detect idle position
and output this to systems that require an closed throttle position switch signal.
