On all models, measure hub torque with pad removed to measure brake drag after pad installation, Fig. 5.

Securely attach pad clip to caliper support.

Press piston into cylinder. Ensure piston boot does not become caught during installation.
9.
Lower caliper body and install lower guide pin, tightening to specification.
10.
Check brake drag as follows:
a. Start engine and hold brake pedal down for five seconds.
b. Stop engine.
c. Turn brake disc forward 10 times.
d. Check brake drag. If the difference between brake drag and hub torque, measured previously, exceeds 1.4 ft. lbs. on hatchback models, or 3 ft.
lbs. on sedan models, disassemble piston and clean. Check piston and caliper for corrosion or worn parts.
