1.

Remove body side and axle side lateral rod mounting bolts and locknuts, Fig. 12.

2.

Remove lateral rod.

3.

Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a. Remove and replace lateral rod bushing using special tools MB990947, MB990945, and MB990847 or equivalent, Fig. 13.
b. When replacing bushing, position so equal amounts protrude on right and left sides.
