USING A TECHNICIAN'S STETHOSCOPE TO FIND WIND NOISE

Remove the probe and sound diaphragm and attach a section of large vacuum hose or aquarium tubing as shown in figure 9.

While having another technician drive the vehicle, move the open end of the hose along the openings and crevices of the door as shown in figure
10. This will help you locate sources of where wind enters the passenger compartment. This is not the same as wind entering the door cavity
through an outside moulding gap, which can create noise in the passenger compartment. You will still need to tape up suspected moulding gaps,
where wind may be entering the door cavity. For those unfamiliar with this process of taping over potential air leaks, see recommended reading
