Following service manual instructions, carefully disassemble the strut assemblies and remove the coil springs.

Clean the top and bottom coils of each coil spring with a degreaser and steel wool. Clean the upper and lower coil spring seats in the same manner.
After cleaning, wipe the areas dry using a shop towel.

Apply a thin layer of adhesive (3M # 8008 or equivalent) to the top and bottom coil of each coil spring.

Before the adhesive dries, install the insulators on the top and bottom coil of each coil spring. Ensure that each insulator end is flush with the end
of the coil spring.
After installing the insulators, allow the adhesive to dry for 15 minutes.

While disassembled, inspect strut assembly parts for excessive wear or damage. Replace any unserviceable parts.
9.
Reassemble the strut according to service manual instructions.
10.
Reinstall the strut assemblies on the vehicle.
PARTS INFORMATION
The part number for the coil spring insulator is MR130167. Four insulators per vehicle are required.
The coil spring insulators will be available from your facing PDC on or about the week of June 13, 1994. No orders can be accepted until that time.
