PURPOSE
In August 1987 the transaxle valve body intermediate plate, mounting bolts, and wire clamp were changed. Also changed were two transaxle oil filters,
so as to fit various transaxles depending on whether the engine is upright or reclined.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
Mirage with KM171 transaxle Galant with KM175 transaxle
DETAILS OF CHANGE
1.
Intermediate Plate and Mounting Bolts On the KM175 transaxle the following changes have been made as shown:
a.
The intermediate plate ribs have been changed.
b.
The lengths of the valve body mounting bolts have been increased.
c.
The lengths of the solenoid valve mounting bolts have been increased.
New and old valve body and mounting bolts are interchangeable only as a set.
2.
Wire Clamp On the KM171 and KM175 the clamp used to route the solenoid valve wires has been changed in shape.
