Instrument Cluster / Carrier: Service and Repair

Fig. 13 Removing instrument cluster hood.

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable, remove steering column lower cover.

2.

Disconnect headlamp switch and windshield wiper switch electrical connectors.

3.

Remove steering column upper cover.

4.

Remove instrument cluster hood attaching screws and claws, then remove hood from instrument panel, Fig. 13.

5.

Remove instrument cluster attaching screws, Fig. 14, then pull cluster slightly forward and disconnect speedometer cable and electrical
connectors.

6.

Remove cluster from instrument panel.

7.

Reverse procedure to install.
