SHIFT RAIL The 3-4 shift rail and the 5-R shift rail (5 speed vehicles) interlock plunger groove has chamfering added. Old and new parts can be
identified by the addition of the chamfer to the groove. Use new parts for repair regardless of build date. When upgrading older transaxles, parts 1
and 2 (see figure 1) should both be new style parts. Do not intermix.
