CHANGE IN THICKNESS OF COOLANT BREATHER PLUG WASHER -
SERVICE MANUAL REVISION

PURPOSE
The thickness of the coolant air bleed bolt (breather plug) washer, located on either the thermostat case or water outlet pipe - depending on the model,
has been reduced from 2.0 mm to 0.85 mm. This thinner washer cannot be reused. It must be replaced with a new washer if the breather bolt is removed
during coolant pouring procedures
This bulletin revises the coolant pouring procedures for the Galant and Montero to indicate that a new washer should be installed when removing and
replacing the coolant breather plug. The Mirage manual has no reference to the breather plug. This bulletin includes coolant pouring procedures for the
Mirage which show the breather plug and instructions to replace the washer.
Write the TSB revision number of this bulletin in the "TSB Revision" box at the bottom of each affected service manual page.
