Evaporative Emission Purge Solenoid: Description and Operation
DESCRIPTION
The evaporative emission purge solenoid is an ON-OFF type of one which controls introduction of purge air from the canister into the intake
manifold plenum.
OPERATION
The battery power is supplied to the evaporative emission purge solenoid through the MFI relay. When the engine control module turns ON the
power transistor in the module, current flows to the coil, introducing purge air.
