Brake Shoe: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Loosen the parking brake cable adjusting nut.
2. Drain brake fluid.
3. Remove brake drum and shoe-to-lever spring.
4. Remove the adjuster lever.
5. Shoe-to-lever spring and auto adjuster assembly.
6. Remove the retainer spring and shoe hold-down cup, hold-down spring and shoe-to-shoe spring.
7. Remove the shoe and lining assembly and lever assembly.
