Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Service and Repair
Without Antilock Brakes

CAUTION: For cars with ABS, see proportioning valve, ABS See:  

PRELIMINARY STEPS

-

Drain brake fluid

-

Remove or disconnect the following:

-

Air intake hose

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

1. Connection for the brake pipes
2. Proportioning valve
2. Bracket

-

Reverse procedure to install, noting the following order that the brake pipes should be installed:
1. LH rear
2. RH rear
3. RH front
4. LH front
5. Master cylinder for right front and left rear (secondary)
6. Master cylinder for left front and right rear (primary)

Bleed air from the hydraulic system.  See: Brake Bleeding/Service and Repair
