Place the cylinder head on the work bench so the valve heads/combustion chamber is facing upward.
2.
Pour just enough solvent into the combustion chamber so that it is filled to the top, but not running over.
3.
Wait a few minutes, then inspect to see if any solvent has leaked past the valves.
4.
If solvent has leaked, diagnose and repair the cause of the leakage.
PARTS INFORMATION
Use the part number when replacing the valve guides on any 1.5L (4G15) engine. The listed parts are the new sintered type valve guides.
