Timing Belt: Service and Repair
1. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
2. Remove the engine mount bracket.
3. Refer to the illustration for the removal procedure.
4. Remove the power steering oil pump and bracket assembly from the engine with the hose attached.
NOTE: Place the removed power steering oil pump in a place where it will not be a hindrance when removing and installing the timing belt, and
tie it with a cord.
5. Turn the crankshaft clockwise to align each timing mark and to set the No. 1 cylinder at compression top dead center.
CAUTION: The crankshaft should always be turned only clockwise.
