FRONT WINDOW WIND NOISE/WATER LEAK
PURPOSE
On some affected vehicles, water leakage may occur and/or wind noise may be heard from the front window when driving with the window closed. The
noise or leakage may be caused by a gap created between the glass and the upper runchannel when the window glass drops down slightly.
To eliminate this condition, replace the window regulator and the run channel with the new, improved parts listed in this bulletin. The new regulator is
modified to prevent it from rotating backward after closing the window. The new run channel has a wider seal lip.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
1997-99 Mirage 2-door models equipped with manual windows produced before 2/24/99 (VIN XU046855)
PROCEDURE
Install the new, improved parts listed in the PARTS INFORMATION section of this bulletin. Refer to Group 42 in the appropriate service manual for
window regulator and runchannel replacement steps.
