Leak Detection Solenoid: Testing and Inspection
1. Connect a hand vacuum pump to nipple (A) of the solenoid.
2. Check airtightness by applying a vacuum with voltage applied directly from the battery to the evaporative emission ventilation solenoid and
without applying voltage.
3. Measure the resistance between the terminals of the solenoid.
Standard value: 17 - 21 ohms [at 20° C (68° F)]
