Montero V6-3.8L SOHC (2005)
1. Connect scan tool MB991958 to the data link connector.
2. Turn the ignition switch "ON" position.
3. Check the MFI system diagnostic trouble code.
Q: Are MFI system-related DTC(s) set to the MFI system?
YES: Refer to Multiport Fuel Injection (MFI) Diagnosis.
NO: Go to Step 2.
STEP 2. Check the RV meter connector D-08 and powertrain control module connector D-134 for loose, corroded or damaged terminals, or
terminals pushed back in the connector.
Q: Are RV meter connector D-08 and powertrain control module connector D-134 in good condition?
YES: Go to Step 3.
