Montero V6-3.8L SOHC (2005)
1. Connect scan tool MB991958 to the data link connector.
2. Turn the ignition switch "ON" position.
3. Read the A/C diagnostic trouble code.
Q: Is A/C diagnostic trouble code 13 or 14 set?
YES: Go to Step 4.
NO: Go to Step 5.
STEP 4. Check the ambient air temperature sensor.
1. Remove the radiator grille.
2. Remove the ambient air temperature sensor.
3. Measure the resistance between the ambient air temperature sensor terminals at two or more temperature conditions.
Q: Does the resistance value exist within the characteristic graph?
YES: There is no action to be taken.
NO: Replace the ambient air temperature sensor.
