MANUAL TRANSMISSION/TRANSAXLE GEAR OIL
PURPOSE
The manual transmissions/transaxles in Mitsubishi Motors vehicles require the use of API GL4 classification gear oil. Using an incorrect API
classification gear oil may affect the shift effort and may cause transmission/transaxle component damage.
Use only gear oils having the API Classification GL4.
Mitsubishi Diamond Gear Lube - A991ZC2X01 - SAE 75W - 85W GL4, meets this requirement.
CAUTION:
Do not use gear oils having an API GL5 classification. GL5 oils have additives which may chemically react with sintered copper synchronizer rings
leading to manual transmission/transaxle damage.
