Shift Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

SHIFT SOLENOID NO. 1 CHECK 

1. Disconnect the shift solenoid connector.

2. Measure the resistance between terminal No. 6 and the ground.

Standard value: 13 ± 2 ohms [at 25°C (77°F)] 

3. If the resistance is outside the standard value, replace the solenoid assembly.

SHIFT SOLENOID NO. 2 CHECK 

1. Disconnect the shift solenoid connector.

2. Measure the resistance between terminal No. 7 and the ground.

Standard value: 13 ± 2 ohms [at 25°C (77°F)] 

3. If the resistance is outside the standard value, replace the solenoid assembly.
