BASIC OPERATION STRATEGY
Grounds the engine control module to the chassis
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
If there is incorrect or incomplete contact of the engine control module's ground line, the engine control module will not function correctly
Inspection Procedure
HARNESS INSPECTION
ECM Connector Pin Numbers (from Wire Side)
Pins number 101 and 106 must have a complete path to ground. If there is incorrect or incomplete conection of the engine control module's ground
wire, the engine control module will not function correctly.
ECM Ground Circuit Wiring Testing
Test the ground wiring integrity by disconnecting the ECM harness connector from the ECM and probing pins 101 and 106 for continuity to
ground.
Engine Control Module Terminal Voltage Check
