Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber: Service and Repair
1. Raise rear of vehicle, then position jackstands under frame side sills.
2. Disconnect variable shock absorbers actuator, if equipped.
3. Remove wheel and tire assembly, then disconnect shock absorbers at upper and lower mountings, then remove from vehicle.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Tighten shock absorber attaching nuts to specification.

b. On models with variable shock absorbers, tighten nuts so dimension "A" is 0.04-0.08 inch and dimension "B" is 0.06-0.10 inch, Fig. 8.
