Use a plastic trim stick to gently lift the outer edge of the moulding. Apply a bead of 3M 08661 silicone sealant or equivalent between the
moulding and the glass.

Push the moulding down to ensure it is securely sealed onto the glass. If necessary, temporarily apply masking tape to secure the moulding while
the sealant sets.
5.
Allow the sealant to set undisturbed for the length of time specified in the manufacturer's instructions. Then remove tape if applied.

PURPOSE
Some vehicles may experience a wind noise (whistle) coming from the upper area of the windshield. The noise is due to air flow between the windshield
moulding and the glass. To eliminate the noise, secure the windshield moulding as described in this bulletin.

PROCEDURE
To eliminate wind noise at the upper area of the windshield:
1.
Use isopropyl alcohol to clean dirt and adhesive residue from behind the outer edge of the upper and side moulding. Use a plastic trim stick to
gently lift the outer edge of the moulding.
2.
Prepare the application nozzle of 3M 08661 silicone sealant or equivalent as shown:
