Heater Core: Service and Repair
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Place temperature control lever in Hot position, then drain cooling system into appropriate container.
3. Disconnect heater hoses from heater core, then plug heater core fittings to prevent coolant spillage.
4. Remove instrument panel. See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair
5. Proceed as follows:

a. Remove foot shower ducts and lap cooler duct, Fig. 8.
b. On models with A/C, remove evaporator unit attaching nuts, then the heater unit.
c. On models less A/C, remove joint duct.
