Wheel Hub: Service and Repair
Assemble
AUTOMATIC FREEWHEELING HUB
Reverse disassembly procedure to assemble, noting the following:
1. Apply suitable grease to mounting surfaces of all components.
2. Pack groove in brake "B, groove around outside of retainer and both sides of bearing with suitable grease.
3. Install return spring with smaller coil diameter side toward spring seat.
MANUAL FREEWHEELING HUB
Reverse disassembly procedure to assemble, noting the following:
1. Apply suitable grease to outer surface of freewheeling hub ring, inner hub and clutch and inside of freewheeling hub body.
