1. The cigarette lighter illumination light does not illuminate.

Check the cigarette lighter.
2. The cigarette lighter illumination light does not illuminate or does not dim.
a. The tail lights illuminate.

Check the bulb.

Check the rheostat.
b. The tail lights also do not illuminate.

Check dedicated fuse No. 5.

Check the tail light relay.

Check the column switch.
3. The ashtray illumination light does not illuminate.
a. The tail lights illuminate.

Check the bulb.
b. The tail lights also do not illuminate.
