TITLE: Rear Seat Does Not Unlatch

SERVICE TIP:
When trying to tumble the 60/40 rear seats forward, the rear seat cushion may not unlatch from the floor, due to foreign debris in the latch.
To unlatch a seat that is stuck to the floor anchoring:
1. Use a 90 degree ratcheting screwdriver to remove the 3 screws securing the under seat cover. Move the cover aside to access the latches.
2. Under the seat, use a flashlight to see if you can access the cable at the end of the latch.
a. If you can access the cable, use a pair of long needle-nose pliers to grasp the cable and push toward the front of the vehicle. Repeat for both latches.
b. If you cannot access the cable, use a long screwdriver as a lever to push the pin down.
3. Lift up on the seat. It should now be free from the floor anchor.
