SUBJECT:
POWER SEAT / POWER WINDOW / RADIO / SUNROOF INOPERATIVE
PURPOSE
The power seats, power windows, radio, and/or sunroof may not operate due to the power seat harness becoming pinched against the driver's seat rail
bracket and blowing fusible link # 4. To correct this condition and prevent future reoccurrence:

Install a special protective pad (listed in the PARTS INFORMATION section of this bulletin) between the seat rail bracket and the power seat
harness.

Inspect and repair the power seat harness.
^
Replace fusible link # 4.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
2001-2002 Montero models produced before 10/11/01 equipped with power seat
PROCEDURE
1.
Install the power seat harness protector on the driver's seat rail bracket, between the bracket and the harness.
2.
Remove the power seat switch and inspect the harness. Repair the harness as necessary.
3.
Replace fusible link # 4 (pink 30 amp fuse located in the main fuse box in the engine compartment).
