Temperature Gauge: Testing and Inspection
Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge Simple Check
1. Remove the engine coolant temperature gauge unit connector A.08.
2. Connect a test light (12V - 3.4W) between the harness side connector and the ground
3. Turn the ignition switch "ON."
4. It the test light illuminates and the engine coolant temperature gauge needle sways, the engine coolant temperature gauge is normal. If faulty, refer
to R54-28 to make a diagnosis.
