PROPELLER SHAFT INSTALLATION
PURPOSE
Incorrect propeller shaft installation can cause vehicle body vibration. To prevent this condition, follow the instructions in this bulletin whenever the
propeller shaft is removed.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
1997-2002 Montero Sport and 2001-2002 Montero
PROCEDURE
1.
Before removing the propeller shaft, make an alignment mark on the differential companion flange, parallel with the white decal on the shaft. (If
an alignment mark has already been made at the factory, you do not need to make an additional mark.)
2.
When installing the propeller shaft, align its part number decal with the alignment mark.
