Separate the front propeller shaft and front differential and suspend the front propeller shaft.

Place a mating mark on the rear differential companion flange and propeller shaft, then separate the rear propeller shaft and rear differential.
Suspend the rear propeller shaft.

Place a transmission jack or adjustable frame jack under the transfer case, just behind the transmission crossmember.

Remove the bolts from both sides of the transmission crossmember and slowly lower the crossmember and the A/T assembly. Approximately
60-70 mm clearance between the floor panel and the A/T assembly is needed to access the A/T breather hose.
NOTE
Pushing the front driveshaft toward the A/T assembly will create additional clearance.
It should not be necessary to lower the A/T assembly any more than shown.
