WINDSHIELD WIND NOISE
PURPOSE
Windshield wind (buzz, hum or whistle) noise, especially in the A-pillar area or across the top of the windshield, may occur when driving at highway
speeds. The noise may be intermittent, and typically is more evident at ambient temperatures over 90 degrees F. Apply a silicone sealant (3M 08661 or
equivalent) between the windshield moulding and body, across the top and sides of the windshield.

If a customer complains of a "wind-rush" noise in the lower area of the left side A-pillar, refer to TSB-97-42A-009 for repair procedures.

If a customer complains of wind noise at the upper front door area, refer to TSB-99-42A-009 for door weatherstrip replacement and door adjustment
procedures.

Apply silicone sealant 3M 08661 or equivalent between the body and the front windshield moulding as shown, at the top and sides of the
windshield.
