STEP 3. Check the driver's side door switch.
Remove the driver's side door switch. Refer to Door.
Q: Is the driver's side door switch in good condition?
YES: Go to Step 4.
NO: Replace it. Check that the malfunction is eliminated.
STEP 4. Check the driver's side door switch ground circuit
Measure the resistance between the driver's side door switch body (metal section) and ground.
Q: Is the resistance less than two ohm?
YES: Go to Step 5.
NO: Repair the harness wire or connector. Then go to Step 6.
STEP 5. Check the driver's side door switch connector E-33 for damage.
Q: Is the driver's side door switch connector E-33 damaged?
YES: Repair or replace it. Refer to Harness Connector Inspection. The tachometer should work normally.
NO: Go to Step 6.
