Wiring Harness: Technical Service Bulletins
A/T - Corroded Harness Splice Connections
SOURCE: Mitsubishi Tech Talk Article June 2004
TITLE: A/T Related Corroded Harness Splice Connections
APPLIES To: Montero Sport
SERVICE TIP:
Various A/T driveability conditions and DTCs could be caused by corroded harness splice connections in the front area of the driver's side door sill near
the kick panel. These conditions may occur because of water entering the harness splice as a result of melting snow. Check the splices for corrosion and
move them to an area of the sill where there is no dampness.
Also check the wiring harness located on top of the left frame rail, beside the transmission. The wiring may become chafed by the metal clip securing the
harness.
