Standard Value
1. Use a belt tension gauge to check that the belt tension is at the standard value at a point half-way between the two pulleys (indicated by an arrow in
the illustration). In addition, press this section with a force of 98 N (22 lb) and check that the amount of the belt deflection is at the standard value.

2. If the tension or deflection is not within the standard value, adjust by the following procedure.
1. Loosen the tension pulley fixing nut.
2. Tighten provisionally the tension pulley fixing nut to 15 N.m (11 ft-lb), and turn the adjusting bolt to adjust the belt tension or deflection to the
standard value.
3. Tighten the tension pulley fixing nut.
Tightening torque: 49 N.m (36 ft-lb)

vibration frequency.
