Drive Belt: Testing and Inspection
Drive Belt Tension Check and Adjustment

CHECKING

Check the belt tension by using a belt tension gauge or by applying 98 N (22 lbs.) of force to the belt midway between the pulleys as shown in the
illustration, and measure the deflection. The values are as shown in the illustration.

NOTE: 
A: Measure between the water pump pulley and the crankshaft pulley.
B: Measure between the water pump pulley and the generator.
